Scott Kolbet was raised in Tualatin, Oregon, attending St. Francis Church in Sherwood where he was very involved as an altar server and faith formation. He received his BA in Religion from Pacific Lutheran University and his MA in Theology from Catholic Distance University. He loves learning and talking about God, Jesus, the Church. Deacon Scott currently teaches middle school at St. John Fisher School in SW Portland.

He is married to Angie, and they have two children and a small dog.

When he's not teaching or serving in the parish, he enjoys time with family or making wood toys in his garage.
